YOUR SHIATSU SESSION
A Shiatsu treatment takes approximately one hour. Extra time will be needed on the first visit so that a detailed case history can be taken. The Shiatsu practitioner uses a variety of techniques to determine which energy pathways (meridians) in the body are blocked and which are depleted or low in energy.
The treatment usually takes place on a padded mat or futon on the floor. However, if the floor is not suitable for you, the treatment may be given in a chair or on a plinth. Following the treatment, recommendations may be given on gentle exercise and changes to lifestyle or dietary patterns to support health and well-being.
The number of treatments required will depend on your general state of health and the acute or chronic nature of the conditions needing help.
